Sports Massage or Soft Tissue Therapy – in essence they are the same.
Soft Tissue Therapy is the management, manipulation, and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It is applicable not just to sports people but to anybody wishing to guard against or recover from a soft tissue injury.
Nigel learned Sports Massage at the London School of Sports Massage and employs the techniques he learned as part of a multidisciplinary team to aid in your preparation and recuperation. Massage treatments include soft tissue release, MET, ART, stretching, scar tissue work, mobilisations, post-operative care, and rehabilitation advice.
Nigel can provide any number of therapists for your needs, whether they are for a sports team, a music tour, a theatre group, or a film/tv production. Choosing therapists recommended by massage colleges will help you satisfy your needs because all therapists have knowledge and awareness of treating in an event environment.
When Scotland Rugby and the Indianapolis Colts competed in London, Nigel was utilised to organise pre-event therapists. Furthermore, Nigel has a network of physiotherapists, osteopaths, Pilates instructors, and doctors and can refer you to specialists if required.
Nigel has 16 years of professional sport experience, working with elite athletes and multi-disciplinary teams.
Nigel can act as a consultant to your team by either developing your own therapists with his experience and knowledge or treating your athletes in collaboration with your medical team. Nigel would work alongside your medical team to help improve the player. These treatments can take place in your training facility or in a private setting.

Nigel has been a Soft Tissue Therapist for over 16 years, gaining knowledge, experience, and abilities in both the sporting and private healthcare industries.
After graduating from the London School of Sports Massage, Nigel went on to do additional courses such as Mental Health First Aid, IASSIST training, Scar tissue and remodelling, Active Release treatment, Dry needling. This, coupled with his participation in a multi-disciplinary team that includes physiotherapists, osteopaths, and doctors, have allowed him to expand his experience beyond massage therapy.
Nigel has worked in elite sport, at Saracens Rugby Club for 15 years having previously with West Ham United FC, and Colchester United FC. In addition, has worked for Scotland Rugby Union and Indianapolis Colts NFL, organising a team of therapists when they travel to London for fixtures.
